Camp NaNoWriMo Preparation Checklist:

• Batch cooking completed, meals apportioned and frozen — check

• Laundry washed and dried, enough clean clothes to go a 2wk cycle — check

• Clean washing folded and put away — don’t push it.

• Cupboards stocked with snacks or anything I may have a whim for that might distract me from writing — will do day before, so I don’t eat them.

• Family briefed on protocol during April – check.

• Social engagements minimised to absolute necessities only – check.

• Novel outlined, scenes detailed, research done — getting there.

• Writing buddies assigned — not yet.

• Critique partners pre-warned of temporary lull in services — check.

• House cleaned from top to bottom — be fucking serious.

• Music playlist assembled - bollocks, knew I'd forget something...
